The SUNY Reconnect program, available at Rockland Community College, offers financial aid that covers not only 100% tuition, but also books, fees, and other supplies. In order to be eligible for this program, an individual must be between the ages of 25 and 55, be a New York State resident, and not currently hold a degree. The student must register for a minimum of 6 credits per semester, and be enrolled in one of ten specified courses of study, ranging from health care to automotive technology. These are degrees specifically designed to make students workforce ready. It is important to note that there is no income cap in place, so it is well suited for working adults who wish to climb the educational ladder.
